Changes
This release is based on ATI Catalyst 7.3 and the main change is the drastic performance improvement in the latest versions of ATI Catalyst Control Center. Because of the improvements, we have decided to include it and the old Control Panel. Users have now the option to choose their own ATI control panel environment. Be advised that Catalyst Control Center requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher to operate.
The Catalyst Control Center (CCC) is the new control panel from ATI, it has all the regular features and some more advanced features. However, CCC consumes more resources then the old ATI Control Panel. Its our opinion that the Catalyst Control Center is the best choice overall if you have a medium to high end computer.
The Control Panel (CP) is the old and famous ATI control panel application. It does not require .NET Framework and it lacks some of the new and advanced features. If your system is low on ram and you feel it may not be powerful enough to use the Catalyst Control Center, then you should find this Control Panel to be a better choice.
In this release, we also decided to remove ATI Tray Tools from the archive. Why you ask? Well because it is no longer needed in our installer with CCC and the old CP included. Yes! It is a great application, so if you do not have it, we recommend getting it from the link here. Remember to follow our web news as the author is updating it on a regular basis.
