NVIDIA is currently distributing GPU samples to its board partners, signaling updates not only for the desktop market but also for its mobile lineup. A recently released image, along with a specifications sheet from notebook manufacturer Clevo, suggests that this may be the first picture of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU. The image, shared by the YouTube channel Moore's Law is Dead, displays a chip labeled N22W-ES-A1, which appears to be an engineering sample. The design of the chip is more rectangular compared to the previous Ada AD104 model, and cross-referencing the "N22W" designation with Clevo's next-generation laptop mainboard specs supports the likelihood that this chip is part of NVIDIA's upcoming silicon. Additionally, the mainboard design will require significant alterations due to the new pin-map of the fiberglass substrate, resulting from the transition to GDDR7 memory.
