These features, included in the AGESA 1.2.0.1a update, aim to optimize processor performance and thermal management. MSI's PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) Enhanced Mode is engineered to further optimize the Ryzen 9000 series processors, building on AMD's original PBO feature. This mode can increase the performance of these processors by 3% to 15%. For instance, in Cinebench R23 testing, the R9 9950X shows an improvement from a 5% performance gain with the default PBO configuration to a 10% gain when PBO Enhanced Mode is enabled.
