Nvidia has been showing a demo of Quake II RTX at GTC 2019, it entails a completely updated version of the game with real-time ray tracing. All graphic effects are based on raytracing, which gives the 1997 game a completely different look. In addition, Nvidia announces that it brings raytracing support to Vulkan.
