Though the impact this time is far less extensive, a new bug is plaguing users of the new the October Update of Windows 10, files again disappear. The updated OS  seems to be making mistakes when extracting zip files, it quietly overwrites or even deletes files.

TSMC to tape-out of 100 chips in 2019 on 7nm process

TSMC is stating that it is making good steps on the 7 nm production process. It says to have a tape-out of at least fifty new chip designs before the end of the year. 7 nm with euv will reach volume production later in 2020. More than 100 different chips are slated for fabrication in 2019.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider RTX GPUs hotfix

EIDOS Montreal and Nixxes have released a hotfix for Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s patch 4. According to the release notes, this hotfix addresses the crashes when using the NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080 or RTX2080Ti GPUs with specific driver and OS versions. These instant crashes really frustrated us and were present only when DX12 was enabled.

Black Masses tech trailer

Brilliant Game Studios has released a new trailer for its ambitious open world game, The Black Masses. The biggest feature of the game, though, is its huge crowd. The team showcased a scene featuring 6000 zombies and stated that the engine can handle over one hundred thousand of zombies running with 60fps.
