While we should have a review up by tomorrow on this device, Samsung announced their first NVMe-based portable solid state drive (SSD) - the Samsung Portable SSD X5 - achieving new levels of performance and reliability for external storage solutions. 

TP-Link also announces the Archer C2700, a next level AC2600 Dual-Band WiFi Router that utilizes Intel technology to provide lightning-fast WiFi at speeds up to 1733Mbps on the 5GHz band and 800Mbps on the 2.4GHz band.

Well, that does look .. special? TP-Link will be releasing a new gaming router, the Archer AX11000. This bad boy has tri-band WIFI, but also is 802.11ax compatible. With Tri-band they combine one 2.4 GHz and two 5 GHz bands offering a theoretical throughput of 10.756Mbit/s.

So there is a bit of confusion that started a day or so ago, UL (previously Futuremark) would be releasing an update to Time Spy with raytracing support. That bit of information seems to be incorrect, as it now seems it will be a new separated benchmark, we just had a reply from the designers, UL.

Creative today announced the Sound BlasterX G6, the latest flagship addition to the Sound BlasterX G-series of Gaming Amps and USB Sound Cards.

Over in Asia a series of announcements have been made. MSI will release three models GeForce RTX 2080 series cards. The 2080 and 2080 Ti Trio, but also a GeForce RTX 2080 Ventus. The new Ventus card seems to go on pre-order on August 30, with availability on September 20th.

AMD announced a new graphics card in their business Radeon Pro V series. The Radeon Pro V340 has been fitted with two Vega-gpu's (14nm), supplemented with second-generation EEC HBM.

Activision and Treyarch have released a new trailer for Call of Duty Black Ops 4, dedicated to its PC version. According to the companies, the game will be fully optimized on the PC and will support ultra-wide screens and multi monitors, is designed for mouse and keyboard, and will support 4K resolutions and uncapped framerates.

We'll test the game on the PC platform relative towards graphics card performance with the latest AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers. Multiple graphics cards are being tested and benchmarked. Somewhere in Asia engineering samples of the pending Intel Core i 9000 series processors have surfaced. Someone grabbed a Core i7 9700K somehow and placed it into a Z370 motherboard with the latest BIOS. As it seems, it was overclocked towards 5500 MHz.

Ryzen 7 2800H and Ryzen 5 will be the mobile procs available soon in products from HP and the likes, and while these new Raven Ridge APUs have not yet been officially launched by AMD they have surfaced in a datasheet.
