AMD Greenland Vega10 Silicon To Have 4096 Stream Processors?

Some interesting info surfaced on the web the past day or so. As you guys know, AMD is to release GPUs based on Polaris, however a recent AMD roadmap shows Vega and Navi Architectures. Vega is the successor to Polaris with HBM2 memory to be launched in the 2017 time-frame. An employee on their linked-in page noted Vega to have 4096 shader processors.

The looks are all about the configurable thumb buttons though as that jumps out like a cannon. The high DPI (up-to 12,000) mouse is fully programmable from A to Z. It might be the most remarkable mouse’s we have seen and tested to date!

Micron Starts Sampling GDDR5X Memory to Customers

Way ahead of schedule (the target was late Summer) Micron has started shipping GDDR5X Memory its customers, likely Nvidia first. Micron will offer the ICs in 8 Gb (1 GB) and 16 Gb (2 GB) densities which indeed is indicative for 8GB adn 16GB graphics cards. The upcoming GeForce GTX 1070 and 1080 (if they are named that) already have been indicated as 8GB products.

There is an Intel slide surfacing in forums, and that slide definitely seems to be legit. It indicates a new Xeon processor to be launching on March 31st. The interesting part here is that it is a based on Broadwell-EP architecture. The chip would be launching as Xeon E5-2600 V4 series.

More interesting is of course that with ECC you'll need a Xeon processor, this X170 motherboard is based on the Intel C236 chipset and comes with support for Intel Xeon E3-1200 V5 processors as well as 6th gen Core "Skylake" processors.
