Okay, admittedly the RGB trend is getting a little over-hyped. Gigabyte inserted a new SKU into the GeForce GTX 960 lineup, the Xtreme Gaming edition with 4 GB a proper cooler and of course, RGB custmizable lighting.

Way ahead of schedule (the target was late Summer) Micron has started shipping GDDR5X Memory its customers, likely Nvidia first. Micron will offer the ICs in 8 Gb (1 GB) and 16 Gb (2 GB) densities which indeed is indicative for 8GB adn 16GB graphics cards. The upcoming GeForce GTX 1070 and 1080 (if they are named that) already have been indicated as 8GB products.
AMD today took the pole position in the DirectX 12 era with an roster of state-of-the-art DirectX 12 games and engines, each with tuning for the Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture at the heart of modern Radeon GPUs.

Gigabyte announced a X170-Extreme ECC Motherboard which is compatible with ECC DDR4 memory. More interesting is of course that with ECC you'll need a Xeon processor, this X170 motherboard is based on the Intel C236 chipset and comes with support for Intel Xeon E3-1200 V5 processors as well as 6th gen Core "Skylake" processors.
