BenQ BL3201PT 32" has 4k Resolution AHVA Panel

BenQ will release the first 32" 4k2k monitor for designers. The BL3201PT offers a larger 32" screen size, paired with an ultra HD 3840 x 2160 resolution from its AU Optronics AHVA panel (referred to by BenQ as IPS, since it's an IPS-type technology, not to be confused with AMVA).

If you have been watching the livestream you will have noticed that Apple launches new iPhone 6 and larger iPhone 6 Plus handsets, and is expected to launch an iWatch device. New in the iPhone 6 is a gaming GPU allowing console like games. Apple just announced the Apple Watch (not iWatch). It will work seemless with the iPhone.

Battlefield 4 - Final Stand DLC Reveal Trailer

Today, EA and DICE revealed the last DLC pack to be released for the action shooter. Titled 'Final Stand', the DLC takes players all the way to wintry Russia in four all new maps. The maps are 'Operation Whiteout', which takes place in what looks like an old Russian observatory and listening post. 'Hammerhead', a more forested map along a frigid river with an underground base. 'Giants of Karelia' along an old vehicle depot and 'Hangar 21' which takes you deep inside a Russian airbase.  The content will be coming to all versions of the game. However, players who have the PC Premium account can get in on the test phase and try out the new maps before everyone else. Starting today, EA is releasing one new map per day for PC Premium players to frag around in.

Alien: Isolation Has Gone Gold

SEGA has confirmed Alien: Isolation has gone gold ahead of release, and launched the first in a new series of trailers to celebrate. For those not in the know, "gone gold" means work on the game has finished, with the final version being pressed onto discs and boxed up in preparation for you lovely people buying it. As there's still a month until the game launches on October 7, it seems the team decided to spend their time creating a series of trailers for periodic release in a bid to keep us alternatively excited/wetting ourselves. Good news, AU Optronics shared some info about forthcoming panels. A new 27" panel currently in development will be based on AUO's AHVA panel technology, equivalent to LG Display's IPS. This is a 27" panel with a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 cd/m2 brightness, sRGB gamut and 178/178 viewing angles.
