GIGABYTE unveiled its newest high-end gaming mouse under its AIVIA gaming peripherals brand. Called AIVIA Krypton, the mouse is designed to be an ambidextrous.
The mouse features a multi-macro button layout that's symmetrical. The main USPs of Krypton, apart from its ambidextrous design, are a very high tracking resolution (exact figure not known); a "gliding feet" design that suspends the mouse slightly higher, with lower surface contact, to reduce friction; and of course adjustable weight. More details are awaited.
Next to the mouse a GIGABYTE AIVIA Osmium Gaming Keyboard has been shown.
We loved the first series we tesded at the time but the new Osmium seems even better as it even comes with a USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface.
The AIVIA Osmium is a mechanical gaming keyboard, which is said to utilize the best switches out there, for gaming. The keyboard supports multiple simultaneous key-presses, which is important in gaming scenarios. Apart from a conventional QWERTY layout, the Osmium features several macro-keys, local storage for macro profiles, and quick cycling through macro-profiles. Two scroll-wheels give you analog control over illumination brightness, and volume. The keyboard is illuminated blue, and features a large palm-rest.

Check out these pictures of GIGABYTE's new WindForce 5X graphics card cooling solution, which will likely feature on its upcoming GeForce GTX 680 SuperOverclock graphics card.
It seems they are using "5X" fans. Actually five 40 mm fans (the ones usually featured in rack servers). And knowing these fans myself, they are noiseeeeh ..
The front-side of the card has a brushed aluminum shroud. On the flip-side, the card spans across three expansion slots, and appears to be both taller and longer than reference design. GIGABYTE's GeForce GTX 680, featuring this cooling solution, and aggressive clock speeds, will be launched very soon.
We review the ASUS GeForce GTX 680 DirectCU II TOP. The benefits of that big cooler are plentiful though, this is a product that you will not hear whilst retaining really good temperatures, yeah it works pretty darn well in both performance and silence really.
The card's base clock frequency is set higher at default for you, at 1137 MHz with a dynamic turbo that on our sample clocks up-to 1267 MHz. The memory runs stock at 6000 MHz though. Not only will we show the performance of the GeForce GTX 680 ASUS DCU II TOP -- we'll throw in the results for the NV GeForce GTX 680, GeForce GTX 680 GBT OC, GeForce GTX 680 MSI TwinFrz III OC and GeForce GTX 680 Palit JetStream as well.

Killer Technology (formerly known as Bigfoot Networks) is preparing to deliver the Wireless-N 1202 WiFi module with Bluetooth in May, while the Killer E2200 gigabit Ethernet controller is already shipping.
Qualcomm Atheros is actually doing the honors, as it formally reveals the Killer Wireless-N 1202 WiFi module with Bluetooth as well as the Killer E2200 gigabit Ethernet controller. Each one is aimed at DIYers and OEMs, enabling machines based on them to automatically classify and prioritizing gaming, video and audio network data -- a bit of behind-the-scenes black magic that's said to "provide a superior, uninterrupted online entertainment experience." As you'd expect, both will include the Killer Network Manager software on associated rigs, giving end users a borderline ridiculous amount of control over how bandwidth is used.

G.Skill launched their new line of memory, the Trident X. Its launch is timed to follow that of Intel's Core "Ivy Bridge" processor family, and is optimized for 7-series chipset motherboards (due to their support of latest Intel XMP 1.3 specification).
Pictured below are the DDR3-2400 MHz (PC3-19200) modules in dual-channel configuration.
The XMP profile runs the module at its 2400 MHz DDR (1200 MHz real) speed, with timings of 10-12-12-31T, and DRAM voltage of 1.65V. The modules will be available in various other speed/timing configurations, and in densities of 4 GB and 8 GB, making up for 8 GB and 16 GB dual-channel kits, for the new "Ivy Bridge" platform; 16 GB and 32 GB quad-channel kits for the Sandy Bridge-E platform.
The older Sandy Bridge LGA1155 platform might not be 100% compatible, since it lacks XMP 1.3 support. G.Skill Trident X will be formally announced on May 4.

NVIDIA is teasing a new product on its GeForce Facebook page, the firm uploaded a picture with an unknown product and the message "It's Coming". What is being shown on the picture remains a mystery, perhaps it's the dual-GPU GeForce GTX 690?
At NAB, The Verge saw a new 3D prototype display, a joint venture between Dolby and Philips. They were impressed with it display quality and clarity, which was very high and allowed 3D viewing even from far off to the side. The prototype display produced a 3D picture by combining a quad-HD TV with a sheet of undulating plastic, which produced 3D at 26 different points around the display. This display isn't quite ready for prime time, because the price of such high resolution displays is still very high.
It seems that Ivy Bridge processors will be released one week sooner than previously announced. Previously targeted for an April 29 announcement, Ivy bridge is now set for an April 23 introduction with Acer, HP and Lenovo expected to launch notebooks based on the new 22 nm processors.
Retailers across Europe apparently have posted Ivy Bridge CPUs ahead of their official availability as well. According to Heise.de, the models Core i7-3770K, Core i7-3770, Core i5-3570K, Core i5-3550 and Core i5-3450 have surfaced on price comparison sites for prices between 189 and 340 Euros. The website noted that Ivy Bridge processors are substantially more expensive than Sandy Bridge versions with the same clock speed. Those who can wait should probably hold off until there is a balance of supply and demand in the market.
IHS iSuppli predicts desktops are set to adopt 2.5" HDDs as the All-in-One PC form factor gains favor:
Demand from all-in-one PCs combined with requirements for lower power consumption and a thinner, smaller storage alternative to existing 3.5-inch hard disc drives (HDD) will help create a viable market for 2.5-inch HDDs in desktops beginning next year.
Worldwide shipments of 2.5-inch HDDs to all-in-one PCs are forecast to reach approximately 1 million units in 2013, up from virtually zero this year, according to an IHS iSuppli Storage Space Market Brief from information and analytics provider IHS (NYSE: IHS). Shipments then will increase to 3 million units the following year and rise steadily until they hit some 7 million units in 2016, as shown in the figure below. The HDD market for all-in-one PCs will continue to be dominated by 3.5-inch discs, with shipments by 2016 estimated at 31 million units, but growth will be much slower for the segment during the same period than for 2.5-inch drives.
The 2.5-inch HDD is used widely today in a variety of products, including mobile or notebook PCs, external hard disk drives and in enterprise applications such as servers and storage systems. Their advantages over conventional 3.5-inch HDDs include a smaller form factor, lower power consumption and higher endurance.
Of late, however, the 2.5-inch drives have also become attractive and desirable for desktop PCs, especially among all-in-one computers.
