MSI is preparing to release the GeForce GTX 480 HydroGen edition. This card features a massive 830g copper waterblock and has a 700MHz GPU, 1401MHz shaders and 1536MB GDDR5 clocked at 3696MHz, the same clockspeeds as the reference model. Pricing is said to be $695.

Zotac released the GeForce GTX 460 AMP! Edition, a new GeForce GTX 460 with 810MHz GPU clockspeed (675MHz stock), 1620MHz shaders (1350MHz stock) and 1GB GDDR5 clocked at 4000MHz (3600MHz stock).

The card also has a non-reference cooler, features DisplayPort, and is bundled with Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.

The processor will come at a sweet clock frequency of 3.46 GHz (26.0 x 133 MHz) and can Turbo to 3.60 GHz (27.0 x 133 MHz).

Other stuff remains standard, thus the QuickPath Interconnect speed is 6.4 GT/s, it supports triple-channel registered DDR3 memory with its integrated memory controller. Cache levels include 256 KB L2 cache per core, and 12 MB shared L3 cache.

A quick overclocking feat by Fitseries3 on the EVGA Classified SR-2 motherboard yielded a speed of 5 GHz making use of the high BClk multiplier. The chip is likely to carry a rated TDP of 130W. Intel may release this processor in the next quarter, either displacing the X5680 from its US $1,730 price point, or occupying a higher one.

German tech site ComputerBase received details of Intel's upcoming solid state disk products as DVHardware reports:

The leaked roadmap reveals Intel's first 25nm solid state disks will arrive in Q4 2010, the 25nm X25-M "Postville Refresh" units will have higher capacity, encryption, S.M.A.R.T. support, and better performance. The 80GB model will be discontinued, the lineup now starts at 160GB and climbs to 300GB and 600GB.

In the first quarter of 2011 the X25-E will receive a 25nm "enterprise grade" MLC refresh, these new "Lyndonville" units will receive much more capacity, S.M.A.R.T. support, encryption, and enhanced write performance. While the current lineup only offers 32GB and 64GB models, the new product lineup will feature 100GB, 200GB and 400GB models.

The X25-V value lineup will receive a 25nm-based 80GB disk in Q4 2010, with a new 40GB model to follow in Q1 2011. The X18-M line will be upgraded to 25nm in early 2011, with new drives in capacities of 160GB and 300GB.

The roadmap also reveals Intel has plans to release "Soda Creek", a small form factor PCIe Full SATA SSD. These models will still use 34nm MLC, they will only be available in 40GB and 80GB sizes.

Memory makers discosed some of the first technicalities on DDR4 at the MemCon conference in Tokyo. This new memory standard is expected to be introduced in 2012, with broad availability expected by 2015.

DDR4 modules are expected to feature frequencies of 1600MHz to 4266MHz, standard modules will use 1.2V, and low-power modules will require 1.1V or 1.05V.

Also keep in mind that the DDR4 standard isn\'t expected to be finalized until sometime in 2011, a lot may change between now and then.

Capcom todays announced a 15th October date for Lost Planet 2 on PC. DirectX 11 and NVIDIA 3D Vision will be supported, and you can test these features by running a preview of the game available. Recommended system specs are an Intel Core2 Quad or AMD Phenom x4 processor; NVIDIA GeForce 9800 or ATI Radeon HD4800 graphics card; and either 2GB RAM on Windows XP or 3GB RAM on Windows Vista. Windows 7 is supported.

A preview version is available starting today that has both a gameplay test and DirectX 11 benchmark mode. There are two modes: Test A gives an indication of general gameplay and movement will perform while Test B is much more demanding and will push the PC to its limits.

According to the decision, Scapegaming made $3,053,339 in "inappropriate profits", which will be rolled into the total owed to Blizzard by Scapegaming: $88,594,589. The rest of that money comes from a paltry $63,600 in legal fees, and whopping $85,478,600 of statutory damages.

This should serve as a warning to any unofficial server operators, but if you've just got to make yourself vulnerable to lawsuit by Blizzard, don't be stupid enough to attempt to profit off of your venture.
