A prelude
Today we will be looking at another
GeForce 256 based videocard. This time it'll be the latest one from
MSI Computer Corp. This company with a stronghold for their high quality
mainboards has established a series of projects for video cards in
recent years. MSI believes that they have the strong resources and capabilities to make
video cards, we agree. This is one of the great accomplishments and challenges for
MSI. We hope to see and test a lot of products for MSI in the
near future.
The GeForce based cards is probably
one of the most successful videocards since the release of 3dfx's
Voodoo1. However, the release of this product is quite late. My bet is
that this great product will be targeted at for OEM. Good quality for
a low price. Let us just hope that the market has not become saturated,
on the CeBIT in Hannover I have seen about 15 new GeForce
manufacturers that can flood this market quite easily with a product
that is slowly fading out the market with the up and coming NV15 and
of course 3dfx's Voodoo 4 and 5.
