The Review
As you all probably know not to long ago
3dfx decided to merger with STB. The first newborn child of this merger resulted into the
Voodoo 3 series cards based upon .25 micron manufacturing (0.35-micron process for the
Voodoo2 and the Voodoo Banshee) . The Voodoo 3 series is pretty much the same compared
to 3dfx's Banshee, except ... its faster !
- There has been a lot written about Voodoo3
versus TNT-2. Voodoo3 does only 16Bit 3D rendering while TNT-2 does 32Bit.
- Voodoo3 has limited texture size of
256x256, while TNT-2 can do 2048x2048
- Voodoo3 has no AGP rendering capabilities
while TNT-2 allready is prepared for AGP 4.x rendering

Since there have been a lot of 'standard'
Voodoo 3 reviews allready we will aim this review mostly as a comparisation towards TNT-2,
Banshee and Voodoo 3.
We'll do a heap load of benchmarks to
assure that you'll get the top notch information that you need to decide wich card to buy.
