Corsair H50 CPU cooler review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
7/23/2009
The collaboration of Asetek and Corsair resulted in a product called the Hydro Series H50, a liquid CPU cooler. A simple to install all-in-one kit that has good looks, decent performance, is not noisy... and remains affordable. This kit is 100% enclosed, doing away with the need for refilling or messy coolants being a danger to your computer's internal parts.
Accelero Xtreme 4870 X2 review | test
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
7/20/2009
Recently one of the more interesting product released in their VGA cooler lineup is the all new Accelero XTREME 4780X2 cooler. It is a massive eight heatpipe based cooler that might be as big as a whale, yet is virtually silent and has extraordinary cooling performance. If you are gutsy enough to strip down the X2 and mount a this cooler, then you can achieve temperatures that are roughly 30 degrees C lower than I've just mentioned, right out of the box.
Alphacool HF 38 Niagara Intel Core i7 CPU water block review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn

There aren't that many companies out there that offer liquid cooling products which you can purchase separately. There's a handful of them. One of them is the German based Alphacool. Recently they introduced a new CPU block called the Alphacool HF 38 Niagara. This new water-block is designed for Socket 1366 processor, aka Nehalem aka Core i7. A high-end liquid cooling CPU block priced fairly. Let's check it out.
Titan TTC-NK85TZ Fenrir CPU cooler review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
5/30/2009
Cooling is a pretty hot topic, and as such we'll be testing the latest CPU cooler from Titan. The Titan Fenrir is another mainstream heatpipe based cooler and a pretty reasonable one also, 17dBA operation, 160W thermal load, universal socket support, PWM function, four 8mm heat pipes, and a 12cm fan. Oy not bad .. let's check it out to see where it stands in terms of price versus performance.
Cooler Master Hyper 212 plus review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
5/25/2009
Today another new cooler sees the light, Well new ... It's actually the Hyper 212 cooler we reviewed a long time ago that is being updated. The updated 212 is now called the Hyper 212 Plus and it will be Cooler Master’s first of many LGA1156 and LGA1156/1366 compatible coolers to come. Again we spot DHT as in Direct contact heat-pipes, dual fan cooling options and new PWM fans are now included into this cooler design. Overall, it has become a new cooler completely, but is it any good ?
CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
5/18/2009
We test the new CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 CPU cooler. Though the cooler will not be high-end performance wise, it can still manage the latest Core 2 Duo and Quad processors really well, and sure, overclocked as well. This new TX3 also supports the upcoming Core i5 processors from Intel based on Socket LGA 1156. Typically this would not be a massively interesting release of course, however... with a sales price of only 14.95 EUR/USD let's face it... the dynamic certainly changes for the better.
Cooler Master Hyper N520 review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
4/27/2009
Though the new Hyper N520 CPU Cooler is in all respects in the basis a heatpipe cooler like many others, it is unique. You'll spot a lot of aluminum convection fins mounted to no less than 5 6mm copper heatpipes. To top that off Cooler Master engineered the product with not one but two 92mm cooling fans in mind. This way they could keep the CPU cooler design a little smaller, yet create a lot of airflow. The end result is pretty interesting looking and performing end product, though not the most silent model it cools quite well and is tagged with a very decent price.
OCZ Gladiator MAX review | test
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
4/10/2009
We test the Gladiator MAX CPU cooler from OCZ. The Gladiator MAX I based off the same principle as the Vendetta series, the Gladiator Max uses the same method of copper heat pipes, by making the heat pipes contact the CPU directly, that's dubbed HDT (Heatpipe Direct Touch).
Inno3D GeForce GTX 260 iChill Accelero XXX review | test
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
3/18/2009
Inno3D released a GeForce GTX 260 iChill edition with AC Accelero GTX cooler. he card is the SP216 version, an updated 55nm GPU based GeForce GTX 260. The 216SP versions, obviously referring to the 216 shader processors that are active and crunching data for you in that GPU, which is 24 shader processors more than the regular GTX 260.
The card has a 620Mz for the core clock frequency and 2,100MHz on the memory. Despite the mammoth looks and size of this cooling solution, we are just so impressed.
Ikonik Ra X10 Liquid review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
3/2/2009
Here we test the Ikonik Ra X10 Liquid. An all aluminium high design chassis with built in liquid cooling and software controllable fans and pump. The RA X10 series is next to being a efficient and aesthetically pleasing chassis also very hip in terms of innovation. See, the X10 series has what Ikonik calls a SIM module. The "SIM" version offers the System Intelligent Management PCB and functionality along with a full compliment of case fans. The stuff that makes your toes curls really.
