Sirtec High Power 1200W Power Supply unit review

Alright, let's get started. Packaging first. Quite big. All the important features are described accurately on the box, and well, you can't miss it in the stores. Oh ehm, does anyone still buy hardware in an actual retail store these days ?

Details: once we open up the box we see that the PSU is carefully packaged. A cloth is covering the PSU preventing it from scratches and the modular cables are inserted into their own box/carton.

The fixed cables at the back-end have a length of ~23 inches, making the SirTec a fine option for those who wish to place the PSU in the bottom of the case (Lian-Li cases use this a lot) or require longer than average power supply cables. All the way on top we see a 135mm fan, utilizing Smart Fan technology. Box contents:

  • Power supply unit
  • Power Cord
  • Instruction Manual
  • Cables

The first thing you'll notice is that the PSU is larger than the ATX standard, 22 cm. Quite a familiar size ;) Furthermore a second fan located at the front and of course the power switch.

On top we see a 135 mm fan, the PSU is remarkably quiet.
