Inno3D GeForce 8800 GT 512MB the OC edition

Company: Inno3D
Info: Inno3D.com
Price: 249 USD/EUR

Wow  ... the GeForce 8800 GT that NVIDIA launched recently is a hit isn't it ? Original figures state that at the launch roughly 50,000 units were available. It took less than 24 hours before ya'll noticed it was running out of stock everywhere. Well, it is definitely a bang for bucks example graphics card. The amount of performance it offers at that price tag, that just hits a sweet spot doesn't it ?

In our original GeForce 8800 GT launch article we covered the reference and a BFG 8800 GT OC version. BFG always has somewhat conservative overclocked products, and like it or not pre-overclocked products are a gap in the market. They are trendy, they are hip and save you the hassle of overclocking yourself. People like a default faster clocked card while keeping their warranty, that's good stuff.

Today's tested product will come from Inno3D, in the past we have tested a lot of their products. They offer good quality products. Earlier this year they introduced a very powerful concept with their custom cooled solutions under the label iChill. A big hit from the very beginning. Today's product does not come from that iChill line, yet from their OC edition graphics cards.

Along those lines Inno3D seems to have caught up with the enthusiast market, the market where products are differentiated and no longer are based on run of the mill reference clocked products. Today therefore it is with no surprise to see their new OC based product. A 512MB GeForce 8800 GT default overclocked to such a high level, that it even made me scratch behind my ears.

Aah, now I've caught your attention haven't I ?

Well then, next page please, where we'll uncloak everything you need to know about the Inno3D GeForce 8800 GT OC 512MB. But not before you have had a glimpse of what we are testing today.
