Hey everyone, today we'll have a look at two new products from that lovely company Inno3D. Shortly after NVIDIA released their GeForce 8600 GTS products Inno3D obviously announced that they'd be selling such a product as well.

As you probably have learned by now NVIDIA launched three new DirectX 10 compatible GPU's in the consumer segment of the market; the GeForce 8600GTS, 8600GT and 8500GT graphics processors. NVIDIA’s GeForce 8600GTS and 8600GT are G84-based GPUs and are targeted at the mid-range market. The lower-positioned G86-based GeForce 8500GT serves as the flagship low to mid-range graphics card.

The new product line is going to look like this:

  • GeForce 8800 GTX
  • GeForce 8800 GTS 640 MB
  • GeForce 8800 GTS 320 MB
  • GeForce 8600 GTS
  • GeForce 8600 GT
  • GeForce 8500 GT
  • GeForce 7600 GS
  • GeForce 7300 GT
  • GeForce 7300 LE
  • GeForce 7100 GS

Inno3D obviously will sell multiple products, and that's what we will review today as well. We'll have a look at their regular 8600 GTS, which pretty much is reference based. And next to that we'll have a peek at the same card, and then at the iChill version.

iChill basically boils down towards a better software bundle, cooling, overclock and a nice price. Within the Inno3D "iChill" range of products however, there are several product lines with different cooling options. Some cards have Zalman cooling, the others have Arctic Cooling products cooling the cards. Today's model has is a heatpipe cooler with active fan called the XStriker3.

What we'll be doing today is obviously compare the two Inno3D cards, and have a closer look at how the cards perform compared to the competition.

With that being said, let's startup this review where we explain the technical details and test the cards with a game or twelve. Those games include S.t.a.l.k.e.r, GRAW, War Front, F.e.a.r. and many more.

Yes, you better prepare yourself for our typical extensive Guru3D review.
