Behind the Scenes of Guru3D - Servers 2008

Here you are looking at the server cabinets and this is ours. A server cabinet is also referred to as a server rack or a server enclosure or even an equipment rack. Server cabinets have a depth up to 1400mm to accommodate the largest servers and network equipment like servers, reboot ports, switches, routers, KVM equipment and soon. So then, this open cabinet is where Guru3D's servers & switches and power/re-boot ports are physically located.

All the way on top you can see a couple of switches & reboot ports.

The equipment inserted into the racks are 19" wide. Loud and warm are the two things that come to mind when you enter the data-suite. Hundreds of servers make an incredible amount of noise and produce heat like you don't know it. Anyway, the lower half shelf are guru3d.coms content servers, let's have a closer look.
