Gigabyte GeForce GTX 260 OCHey ya'll ! I had too much coffee !! Ahem .. today another review from the fine people over at Gigabyte technology. Gigabyte is obviously known for their nice and colorful mainboards, but their product really extends into so frickin' many segments. You have no idea. From mainboards, to network products, to coolers, to servers, to water-cooling, to chassis products, and obviously graphics cards. Here's where we land at Guru3D. NVIDIA recently released a new SKU (stock keeping unit) onto the market. It's a derivative of the GeForce GTX 260 and in fact has a hand full more shader processors harbored in that GPU opposed to the regular GTX 260 versions. BFG released it as a MAXCORE model, eVGA as Core 216 ... the problem with this new SKU is .. there really is not a name tag like "GTX+ 260" created for it.

So there's where we land, at the blue premises of Gigabyte. They just launched this particular product with the 216 shader processors as well, but under yet another name: the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 260 OC. And it's interesting when you think about it really; these are thus the 216 Core versions of the product, offering 10 maybe 15% more performance, yet Gigabyte didn't overclock the product at all. Which is kind of weird if you tag a product as "OC" right ?

Fact is that the new SKU offers really a lot of bang for your bucks, and as we'll show you today .. you can overclock the holy living bejeezus out of these Core 216 products. They are just real fun to play around with.

Christmas season is coming up, we have a lot of game releases in the upcoming weeks; Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway and Far Cry 2 were just releases. Well, throw it all in a big bucket, shake it around a little bit and Voila ... there you have your Guru3D.com review.

Continue to the next page please, where we'll start off with our review. But not before you check out Hilbert's always weird, yet cool,  photography.
